Updates on COVID-19 and cleanliness for Island Vibez Living Partners
Island Vibez Living takes the safety of our partners, owners, and guests very seriously and we are continuing to take direction from the CDC, World Health Organization, and local government agencies of affected areas at this time.
Covid TESTING
Island Vibez Living works closely with our concierge domestic & healthcare partner Legacy Care Management Inc to provide Covid testing and care assistants to our guests.
Our guests while on vacation can receive in home PCR tests needed to fly; Rapid test kits and/or care instructions with supplies if positive and needs to be quarantined. Contact LCM at office/text: 561-318-1481 or email at info@legacycaremanagement.com to speak with a Care Advisor.
As an Island Vibez Living partner, it’s always important to ensure the property is clean and guest-ready. However, in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, we strongly recommend that you follow the advice from the experts when cleaning and disinfecting a property after a guest check-out — and learn and apply all local requirements for cleaning and safety. Rules and recommendations differ by area and are updated frequently, so there’s no one correct answer nationwide. It’s up to you to know the local guidelines, apply them correctly and consistently, and stay up to date on changes. If needed, please learn the difference between cleaning and disinfecting here.

The CDC’s Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection Recommendations are a great resource for preparing homes during this time, as is this list of EPA-approved products expected to be effective against COVID-19. Here are some basic guidelines for enhanced cleaning and disinfection:
Wear masks and disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting. Be sure that everyone cleaning a home understands:
The instructions for use on the label of the product
Any precautions needed for safe use and application
How long product needs to stay on surface for effective disinfection (dwell time)
Any potential cross contamination with other chemicals
Perform deep disinfections prior to every arrival. Be sure to disinfect all areas likely to have been touched, including (but not limited to):
All handles: doors, cabinets, closets, windows, faucets, etc.

Any railings: stair railings, decks, etc.
Switches and buttons: lights, remote control, front door lock keypad, garage door opener, etc.
Frequently used appliances: microwave, TV, coffee maker, washing machine, etc.
Frequently used kitchen items, including supplies under the sink
Arms of chairs, sofas, and outside seating
Toys, puzzles, playing cards, etc.
For soft/porous surfaces such as carpets, rugs, drapes, couches, etc., remove visible contamination and clean and disinfect with appropriate cleaners.
Clean all dishes and flatware (not just what was previously used) after every checkout and be sure to use any available sanitizing, hot water and heat drying settings when using the dishwasher. Also since bleach is an effective product when fighting any variables substance please add a tablespoon to the bottom of your dishwasher to help with odor, mildew buildup and in disinfecting dishes.
Special care should be taken with bedding, linens, and other soft materials, such as:
Make sure all pillows on beds have pillow protectors
Use duvet and duvet covers or triple sheeting rather than a plain blanket on top of beds
Wash all blankets and comforters after every check out; use commercial laundry or appropriate strength chemicals for home laundry. Eliminate all extra pillows and blankets around the home
Place extra sheets and/or blankets in a plastic zipper bag with a plastic tie so cleaners know they’re already clean and are ready for use
Keep yourself safe by opening windows, maintaining physical distance inside the property, having the updated training on products and methods, and disposing of items property. Wash hands properly and stay home if you’re not feeling well.
Finally, understand that this higher standard of cleanliness is the “new normal” and that sessions may take longer, may involve personal protective equipment (PPE) like masks, and methods may change over time for everyone’s well-being.
